Teachers' Day

Teachers’ day! September 5th, a day left to the celebration.. As we know, World teacher’s day is celebrated in October 5th and India celebrates teachers’ day on September 5th.  Teacher’s day celebration varies from one country to another. Teachers’ day is special day in many countries, celebrations include appreciating and honoring teachers for their contribution to the institution  and to the society.

Why on 5th September

Since 1962 India is  celebrating  Teachers’ day on September 5th. It is birth date of Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan (Born: September 5, 1988) is an Indian philosopher, the first Vice President of India  and the Second President of India. When he became President of India, his students and friends requested him to allow them to celebrate his birthday, on September 5th. He replied,

“Instead of celebrating my birthday, it would be my proud privilege if September 5th us observed as Teachers’ Day”

Usually celebration replaces the regular classes to activities, games, thanking and remembering teachers. This used to be the proud moment for every teacher.

The birth date (5 September 1888) of the second President of India Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan , is celebrated, where teachers and students report to school as usual but the usual activities and classes are replaced by activities of celebration, thanks and remembrance.

Life of a teacher:

Usually there are 80 to 90 students in a class, this used to be the hard time for teacher to look after each and every student and to understand every student’s ability of grasping our lessons. It takes time for both teachers and students understand one another. If students ask doubts in the class room it becomes easy for teachers to clear their doubts and make them understand the chapter.

Most painful moment for a teacher is seeing their students discussing their doubts with their classmates when teacher is taking a class.

A proud moment used is being thanked by our own student and seeing our old students doing their best in life. 🙂

Waiting ahead for September 5, 2016. Yo!
