Solution:
= y3(y – 2) + 1 (y – 2)
= (y – 2) (y3 – 1)
= (y – 2) (y3 – 13)
= (y – 2) (y + 1) (y2 – y +1)
(viii) t4 + t4 – 2t – 2
Solution:
= t3 (t + 1) – 2(t +1)
= (t – 1) (t3 – 2)
5x(x – 4y) = 5×2 – 20xy [ not 5×2 – 2xy]
