A chord of a circle is a straight line segment whose endpoints both lie on the circle.

Generally, a chord is a line segment joining two points on any curve, for instance an ellipse.

Chord AB of a circle with centre O.

Formula to find the length of the chord

Length of the chord = 2r x sin c/where r = radius of the circle.
