**If the area of base of a rectangular based pyramid is 60 m2 and its ht is 7.5m. find the volume.**

Solution:

A of base = 60m^{2}

h = 7.5 m

V = ^{1}/_{3} Bh = ^{1}/_{3} x 60 x 7.5

= 150 cc

**The height of a square pyramid of vol. 300 cc. is 10 cm. find the edge of the base.**

Solution:

h = 10 cm

V = 300 cc

a = ?

V = ^{1}/_{3} Bh = ^{1}/_{3} a^{2}h

300 = ^{1}/_{3} x a^{2} x h

^{300×3}/_{10 } = a^{2}

a^{2} = 90

a = √90 = 3√10 cm
